North Austin Science Alliance (NASA) is a volunteer run homeschool science team for kids who want/love science enrichment. For the fall of 2017, we're expecting to have 65 grade 1-12 kids, and we are actively (and always) searching for industry professionals to talk to our kids and share their passion/area of expertise with them.

We do our best to take science out of the textbook and put it in front of them, but it is so much more rewarding for the kids to talk to people who are earning a living in various fields of science.

We meet Monday mornings in NW Round Rock, from 9:30-12, and would love to arrange a time for you to visit and talk with our kids!

This would be my first "try-out" at volunteering to get kids interested in science/math. I have a Masters in Software Engineering from UT-Austin, although I wasn't a typical student. Be interested to share my story with your high school kids. I live in Georgetown.

I try to visit one of my kid's schools every year around National Engineer's Week to give a presentation about what engineers do and how to become one. I would enjoy doing the same for this organization. I have 33 years experience in electrical work, I'm a senior member of IEEE, and I have electrical PE licenses in (5) states. I work as a consultant designing construction plans for all sorts of buildings. I live in SW Austin.
